We have an exciting opportunity for a Director role at a China-based pharmaceutical manufacturing company. The company is a multinational pharmaceutical corporation that emphasizes on providing efficient and advanced medicines to patients around the world. The company is heavily involved in research and development, as well as manufacturing, sales, and distribution of Rx injectable medications that cover therapeutic areas such as oncology, urology, CNS, infectious conditions, and more. They are looking for an experienced and accomplished cancer biologist to lead our Discovery Biology team in identifying and developing novel targets and biomarkers for cancer patients through integrative translational research and 'big-data' approaches. The office for this position will be in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. This role demonstrates hybrid work, which means that it is possible to work from home for two months out of the year. It is anticipated that candidates will have plans to work in China and, ideally, fluency in Mandarin to help with team communication.

Job Requirements:

• Overseas background, industrial background, and team management experience.
• Candidates must have plans and the right to work in China and must have fluency in Mandarin to communicate with the team.
• PhD in oncology, immunology, or molecular immunology within the context of oncology biological sciences such as molecular/cell biology, pharmacology, or biochemistry, with an emphasis on immunology.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience managing a group in an academic or industrial setting.
• Proven and broad knowledge of I/O, including experience with in vitro and in vivo models, is preferred.
• Outstanding written and oral communication is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge and a proven track record of productivity, as demonstrated by completing complex projects, publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, and/or patents.
• Expertise in leading teams and managing individuals at all levels, from associate to principal scientist, establishing both direct reports and matrixed team members, as well as managing performance.
• Entrepreneurial/solution-oriented mindset.
• Self-motivated and collaborative, with strong time management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Capable to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, excellence-driven environment.
• Knowledge of antibody drug discovery project teams, such as target discovery, screening, validation, and protein engineering, is a plus.
• Previous experience working with CROs and/or academic collaborators is preferred.
• Ideal age range: 48-55 years old.
• Experience with antibody/ADC-related projects is preferable.
