We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Administrator role in a Hong Kong-based Logistics & Supply Chain company. The company is a technology-enabled multinational courier firm that provides end-to-end delivery services and is now operating in various countries including APAC and Europe. It is searching for an experienced Operations Administrator to join its team in the United Kingdom. The primary emphasis of this role is to assist customers and facilitate the delivery of their e-commerce items via our network – hence the collaboration with colleagues from many disciplines is essential.
Job Requirements:
• Have a minimum 5 years of expertise in overseas logistics import and export operations, including ETSF operations
• Excellent computer skills (CHIEF and SEQUOIA)
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities
• The ability to communicate in Mandarin is advantageous
• Expertise and implementation of SEQUOIA for CDS/ CHIEF, NES and NCTS for import-export, and transport movements that are abreast
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
• Observing client pre-alerts in business WMS or through email and providing guidance
• Verifying the accuracy of client papers and manifests, and conveying exceptions
• Informing warehouse operations promptly of accomplished clearances and/or exceptions
• Progress tracking in collaboration with the warehouse team to ensure that export and import procedures are completed on time
• Organizing airline pickups and deliveries with internal and external logistics suppliers to provide optimal value and efficiency on a daily basis
• Organizing vendor pickups and deliveries as needed
• Liaison with airlines and attempting to make freight reservations in compliance with the operating agreement
• Assume responsibility, in collaboration with teams, for all Health and Safety requirements and procedures within the business for workers, visitors, and drivers
• Assuring that all equipment and machinery is in excellent operating condition and that it is used safely and communicate any flaws or problems to the line manager in charge
• Working in the WMS and customs platforms for quality administration and correspondence, along with pre-alerts, charting benchmarks, and shipping updates
• Functioning all customs related matters to conform to guidelines
• Maintain all VAT and Duty transactions record to compliance standards, also ensure that FAS, deferral, and CASS statements are reported as needed, both internal and external
• Auditing DDU collection and reporting (internally and externally), as well as the accurate and consistent accounting for VAT and fees
• Getting accurate customer reports prepared daily
• As needed, provide internal cost reports
• Daily reporting of linehaul costs and completion, as well as notification of exceptions
• When necessary, reporting performance exceptions and doing exception analysis
• Collaborating across the team, different divisions and external partners within the confines of the company's regulations and code of conduct, with a focus on both external and internal communication
