We have an exciting opportunity for a Reservations Agent in London-based Hospitality business. The hotel's location in one of London's most picturesque areas makes it ideal for both business and pleasure travellers thanks to its sophisticated elegance and first-rate amenities. The Reservation Agent is in charge of accurately entering and processing reservations and maximising room sales through proactive selling and up-selling strategies.

  • Outstanding written and oral English and Chinese skills for business reasons.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pass the tests and finish the courses required by the business.
  • Conversant with hotel operations and products.
  • Maximize hotel revenue and room sales with a focus on upselling.
  • Check daily for any new reservations, modify or cancel existing ones, and confirm that all data sent to the appropriate departments is accurate.
  • Check arriving guests or groups of 3-5 regularly, ensuring the guest details, needs, and price information is right.
  • Perform secretarial tasks including writing letters, keeping files organised, sending emails and faxes, etc.
  • Never lose sight of a sales opportunity when staying at the hotel.
  • Improve the Bookings and Group & Tour teams to optimise income on all inquiries.
  • Verify the accuracy of all commissions and ensure fast follow-up.
  • Make sure the reasons for any rejected business are filed.
  • Verify that all communications have been properly filed with accurate and current information.
  • Observe the hotel's credit policy and confirm that all revenue projections are met.
  • Respect the supply and price controls for predetermined rooms.
  • By using reservation processes, maintain and update customer information and sales data.
  • Uphold high standards for visitor service.
  • Make sure all of the data entered is accurate.
  • To meet operation needs, pay particular attention to team member requirements, including each team member's workload and responsibilities.
  • Always keep workspaces neat and orderly.
  • Observe all reservation-related company policies.
  • Follow all the hotel's established policies and systems.
  • Give reservations of high-quality priority.
  • Adhere rigidly to brand standards.
  • Ascertain that everyone on the team is aware of and complies with the hotel's team member policies.
  • Execute any additional reasonable tasks and obligations that have been given to you.
