We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Specialist role in a Machinery Manufacturing company based in Scotland. The company manufactures excavators, wheel loaders, and other machinery that are known for their efficiency and durability across the sector. They are seeking to hire an experienced individual to fill this role.

Job Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of comparable job experience in the UK.
  • Good understanding of UK labour law and practise.
  • Chinese/Mandarin/Cantonese proficiency is required.
  • Proactive and able to take the lead when it comes to fixing problems.
  • Excellent relationship-builder with the ability to work at all levels of the organisation.
  • People-centered, but able to establish and adhere to precise, effective processes in a complicated organisation
  • Highly organised with a "can-do" attitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of using MS Office programmes in their most basic forms (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
  • The capacity to prioritise and manage conflicting demands.
  • Adaptable and capable of working in a constantly changing environment.
  • Capable to operate both independently and well in a team.
  • Service-focused, with good and effective oral and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Helping to coordinate internal and external advertising with management and the sourcing team, among other recruitment-related responsibilities.
  • Helping to organise interviews for specific job openings.
  • Assisting with pay benchmarking activities.
  • Coordinating and assisting with the cycle of performance management.
  • Helping with the salary and performance reviews.
  • Coordinating the payment and distribution of incentive plans.
  • Support the hiring and onboarding process for new employees by creating employment contracts, offer letters, and starting background checks as necessary.
  • Prepare and distribute variation letters in connection with contractual modifications, including employment changes, pay modifications, flexible working arrangements, etc.
  • Support the payroll procedure to make sure Payroll receives the proper instructions.
  • Assisting with employee inquiries and referring them to other teams as necessary.
