We have an exciting opportunity for an Immigration Attorney role in a private community-based non-profit organization based in California. They are looking for an experienced Immigration Attorney who will be responsible for providing legal information to clients.
Job Requirements :
- Law degree with 10 years of experience practicing immigration law.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as presentation abilities, are required.
- Bilingual in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, or another language is preferred.
- Must be organized and capable of working both independently and in groups.
- Proficiency in MS Office and the Internet is required.
- Must be sensitive to the needs of the elderly and diverse ethnic and minority cultures.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Providing immigration legal counsel and direct representation to SF pathways participants and in-house clients in seeking immigration benefits.
- Naturalization services include direct representation, application completion, assistance in obtaining waivers, and information and referrals.
- Providing clear and comprehensive legal advice to clients.
- Researching the law and consulting experts when required.
- Handling client information and files according to the agency’s policies.
- Attending training to keep legal knowledge up to date.
- Performing other responsibilities as assigned.
