We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain and Logistics Supervisor role in a Mining & Metals company. The Supervisor will handle the general buying function, analyse market dynamics for vital raw materials, procurement, and logistics and build effective partnerships with key suppliers and other market players.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, accounting, or a similar discipline is necessary, as well as equivalent experience.
- Experience in the mining industry is desired.
- An excellent safety record is necessary, as well as the capacity to demonstrate safety leadership.
- Required talents include team leadership, problem-solving, and outstanding verbal and writing communication.
- Knowledge of Oracle, SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or comparable enterprise-level software products is desired.
- Computer literacy is essential (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project).
- The ability to execute the fundamental tasks of this job must be shown.
- Strong communication and analytical abilities (written & verbal).
- Ability to perform precise and quick arithmetic computations.
- Excellent ability to negotiate and manage relationships.
- English and Mandarin are both fluent.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all purchase requisitions filed are complete and accurate in order to ensure that all purchase and delivery criteria are satisfied.
- In charge of expediting purchase orders and keeping track of open purchase requisitions.
- Responsible for overseeing the site contract administration process and ensuring that all corporate rules and standards are followed, including executing all business transactions in line with ethical standards and practices.
- Work with site leadership and the corporate supply chain team to communicate with vendors and establish site price agreements.
- To assure the mine's low-cost operation, control freight logistics (including commodities) through barge, boat, and air.
- Establishing methods for coordinating procurement operations with all site departments to assure timely delivery of parts and services.
- Prepare and submit bid packages to suppliers that will meet corporate criteria and standards in order to acquire competitive bids on commodity prices and services.
