We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Executive role in a London based bookshop. The bookshop focuses on Chinese retail in the UK. It specialises in a wide variety of high-quality books and periodicals from mainland China and Hong Kong in subjects such as language, literature, martial arts, philosophy, culture, herbalist, art-calligraphy, etc. The shop is looking for an experienced person with a passion for books, innovative items, and Chinese culture to fill this post. The primary goal of this function is to implement strategies to develop the brand and meet business objectives. In addition to the responsibilities as a Marketing Executive, the person is expected to help with the shop's day-to-day operations as described in JD.

Job Requirements:

  • 1 year of social media marketing experience.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin.
  • Working experience in social media marketing or the cultural business is desired.
  • Interested in retail and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • The minimal educational qualification is a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and reporting on the company's digital marketing strategy to the shop manager.
  • Creating and curating high-quality content for several channels to guarantee product promotion.
  • Organizing and organising social media promotional activities to increase sales.
  • Responding to and directing client questions via social media sites.
  • Assisting with the planning and execution of offline corporate events, including related product ordering, advertising, on-site preparations, and post-event marketing.
  • Implementing seasonal store display modifications and providing any ideas for improvement to the Shop Manager.
  • Helping with stocktaking and keeping physical inventory levels and stock reports reconciliation.
  • Taking online orders and making sure they're delivered on schedule.
  • Contributing to customer care and support, addressing client questions (particularly web-based and over the call queries), and putting customer orders.
