Our Client is a start-up company in the emerging recycled plastic manufacturing industry. Must-have Requirements:
10 years of experience in managing a recycling Process Plant or Waste Management site.
Key knowledge and skills
- A clear understanding of H&S laws and healthy work processes, IOSH certified is preferred.
- Good leadership skills to direct the development teams in a startup environment, with the ability to handle and improve their staff efficiently.
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation that relates to the operation of a recycling or manufacturing facility, WAMITAB level 4 is preferred.
- Technical production/process related qualifications such as BTEC, NVQs, and relevant experiences in machine maintenance.
- Good communication skills with all levels.
- Full, current driving license, able to travel without restriction, and work some unsociable hours.
- Strong project management skills.
- Organised, structured approach to work.
Responsibilities
- Regular supervision of the recycled material reprocessing operation in the plant. It involves responsibility for maintenance teams and production managers while working closely with logistics and admin teams to ensure that production goals are achieved.
- Oversee site compliance with essential health and safety site procedures and regulations. Compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act, other applicable regulations, and procedures of the Organization.
- Implementing a scheduled preventive maintenance schedule, including a program of on-site plant inspections and implementing and upgrading the training framework for production operators.
- Provide training and development to team members to ensure they perform efficiently and be responsible for motivating the teams, working closely with the team leader of every shift.
- Be responsible for maximizing production output across all departments and manage production in line with quality standards and performance target
- Recruiting of production operators and build production team.
- Daily management of production waste and traffic management plan, pest control, litter control, and cover utilization.
- Other production-related duties.
