We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant for a US-based Software Development firm. They are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join the accounting team.
Job Requirements:
- Proficient in accounting principles.
- Familiar with accounting best practices.
- Knowledgeable in IFRS, U.S. GAAP, or other accounting standards.
- Skilled in data entry.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Capable of producing highly accurate work.
- Professional and organized.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Professional interaction with team members at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
- Familiarity with Point of Sales (POS) is an advantage.
- Associate’s degree or at least two years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Enter data and gather transaction details for both incoming and outgoing bank accounts.
- Utilize bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and databases to record current financial transactions.
- Monitor and track each account's debits (incoming funds) and credits (outgoing funds).
- Create financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial records through maintenance and monitoring.
- Identify and report any discrepancies found in financial reports.
- Prepare and pay invoices for credit card bills or inventory purchases.
- Address and resolve issues related to invoice and payment processing.
- Generate reports and payments for agents, distributors, and other entities.
- Manage payroll processing.
- File tax returns.
- Perform additional duties as needed or assigned.
