We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Manager for a Biotechnology Company based in California. They are looking for an experienced and dynamic Logistics Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of logistics operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of goods from foreign countries to the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with a proven track record of optimizing logistics operations in an international context.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 4 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial position.
  • Comprehensive understanding of international trade, import/export regulations, and customs procedures, especially concerning China-U.S. trade.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to ensure the seamless import of goods from countries like China and their distribution within the U.S.
  • Manage relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics service providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Oversee the entire supply chain process, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations, including customs requirements and import/export documentation.
  • Analyze and optimize logistics operations to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with sales, customer service, and procurement teams to align logistics operations with business objectives.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve logistics performance.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the logistics team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting logistics and international trade.
