We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager Trade with a global Airlines and Aviation company. This global airline company has its operations spread across multiple nations. They are seeking a dynamic Account Manager to join their team in London, focusing on the UK Trade market. The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication abilities, along with effective negotiation skills. This role plays a crucial part in achieving the sales targets for the UK Sales Team within the current Agency market, including Online Travel Agencies, and driving additional revenue for the company.

Job Requirements:

  • A certification in a related sales field is required.
  • Applicants should possess three to four years of recent sales experience.
  • Familiarity with the airline industry is a valuable asset.
  • Proficiency in Cantonese/Mandarin is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.
  • Demonstrated skills in networking and relationship management are necessary.
  • Proven experience in meeting and exceeding targets in a work environment is vital.
  • Effective negotiation skills are a must.
  • A reasonable level of computer literacy in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is expected.
  • Knowledge of DDS and Sales Force Automation tools is advantageous.
  • Applicants should be adaptable and open to embracing ongoing changes.
  • Authorised to live and work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Employ an insight-driven approach to secure high-value global and local trade partners.
  • Proactively initiate and follow through on sales initiatives, acquire sales leads, and actively explore new business opportunities.
  • Engage in consultative and insightful sales techniques, with a dedicated focus on new business development.
  • Place a strong emphasis on identifying opportunities in the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) sector.
  • Provide service to the existing portfolio to sustain and expand its value.
  • Conduct regular sales visits to clients, delivering presentations and seminars, offering updates on products and services to enhance sales potential and facilitate deals.
  • Efficiently negotiate rates, commissions, and contracts to maximize return on investment.
  • Ensure the implementation of a comprehensive sales and marketing plan to support the portfolio.
  • Act as the airline's ambassador within the portfolio, fostering strong relationships to maintain a positive and prominent brand image.
  • Actively manage the cost of sales necessary for revenue generation.
  • Promote the adoption of new tools and technology to enhance communication, convenience, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to manage both new and existing customers and track sales activities.
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking gatherings.
  • Fulfill any other reasonable tasks as requested.
  • Be prepared for emergency, accident, and crisis response responsibilities as needed.
