We have an exciting opportunity for an Investment Manager - Private Equity role in a Hong Kong-based Accounting firm. A global business advisory and accounting practise with offices in the UK, China, and Singapore, they were originally founded as an audit practise to provide conventional book-keeping, auditing, taxation, and corporate secretarial services to the Chinese communities. They are seeking to hire an experienced person to fill this role. 

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Finance, Investment, or another related field is required, and professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, or ACCA are preferred.
  • 5–8 years of professional expertise in asset management, private equity, investment banking, or equivalent organisations in the financial sector. 
  • Investment associates with less experience will be considered.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in managing private equity funds, real estate investments, and/or mergers and acquisitions.
  • Outstanding financial analysis, capital management, project evaluation, and investment decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
  • Highly motivated and organised, with the ability to work independently and effectively under time constraints.
  • Proactive attitude and capacity to excel in a team.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English. 
  • The ability to read and speak Chinese is preferred.
  • Capable of working in a variety of time zones and ready to travel abroad when necessary.
  • Having the ability to multitask or work under time constraints under pressure is a must.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop investment plans and oversee the day-to-day execution of those strategies and policies to meet risk objectives and achieve strategic returns.
  • Perform industry research and write reports and market commentary.
  • Build capital allocation plans, risk analyses, financial modeling and valuation, and other decision-supporting tools.
  • Analyse potential investments, conduct due diligence, and execute deals after screening each one.
  • Ensure that investment decisions are made with high integrity, accuracy, and timeliness to protect assets, minimize risks, and maximize contributions to the company's financial stability.
  • Make sure the investment portfolios adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, audit, and tax laws.
