We have an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper role in a Real Estate agency based in CA. Providing a wide range of services for buyers, sellers, investors, landlords, and tenants, it is a full-service real estate company. They are seeking to hire an experienced person with the necessary skill set to fill this role.
Job Requirements:
- Experience with real estate bookkeeping for 3 years is essential.
- Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) proficient.
- Previous bookkeeping experience, particularly in the real estate industry, is preferred.
- Quickbooks knowledge.
- Professional attitude, capable of working in a team.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Capable of prioritizing tasks and effectively communicating with colleagues, investment partners, and ownership.
- Knowledge of the housing industry is a plus.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Financial statement preparation using the accrual basis and GAAP.
- Gathering and keeping track of tenant data, creating monthly reports, and other property management tracking tasks.
- Monthly closings, including a complete set of financial statements with supporting schedules, all journal entries, and work papers.
- Manage accounting procedures such as reviewing and entering all payables and receivable batches, reviewing tenant ledgers, and reconciling billings.
- Assistance in Keeping Security Deposit and disbursement information.
- Keep and supervise a well-organized filing system for leases, tenants, insurance, vendors, buildings, contracts, purchase orders, and any other relevant documents.
- Prepare the rent bills and enter the payments into the software.
- Weekly bank reconciliation.
