We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Supply Chain role in a Medical Device manufacturer based in Sterling. The company specializes in producing and private labeling medical supplies and equipment, science education products, and STEM toys. The company is seeking a Director of Supply Chain who will work closely with the Procurement team. The ideal applicant will be knowledgeable about purchasing procedures and driven to advance in a growing business. This is a hybrid position that will require some onsite work.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
- Experience in a related field of 1 to 3 years.
- Working knowledge of large projects.
- Capable of exercising authority over tasks and working independently.
- Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent time management and project management abilities.
- Set clear retention objectives and process benchmarks for the client and employees to work towards.
- Experience in the medical manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Financial analysis knowledge is advantageous.
- Experience with working in global supply chains and business markets is preferred.
- Fluency in Mandarin is desirable.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct a cost analysis.
- Capable of building positive relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.
- Observe alterations in the material's availability.
- Examine commodity trends.
- Participate in the discussion of the purchase's price, terms, and conditions.
- Assist in the identification, development, and implementation of cost-cutting initiatives.
- Study cost-saving strategies, learn to assist the production plan, and plan purchases.
- Collaborate with management to forecast, plan for, communicate about, and mitigate project changes.
- Collaborate across departments on critical reports/projects.
- Keep up a thorough knowledge of the goods and services, helping customers with their inquiries.
