We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts & Administration Manager role in a Sheffield-based Real Estate agency. This is a high-end dorm that offers students a complete, all-inclusive package with all the amenities available right on site and close proximity to universities. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage overall financial and accounting work.

Job Requirements:

  • Speaking and writing Mandarin Chinese fluently is a big advantage.
  • A full or partial accounting degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting expertise is required.
  • A background in the student housing sector is preferred.
  • Advanced computer proficiency with databases, MS Office, and accounting software.
  • Multitasking ability.
  • Capability to work with large amounts of data.
  • Extremely well-organized.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong numeracy abilities.
  • Capable of demonstrating superior time management abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • A problem-solving personality who seeks logical solutions.
  • The potential of working independently and with little guidance.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the overall financial, accounting, and legal entity operations.
  • Creating, implementing, and monitoring control systems, policies, and procedures to ensure the robustness and security of accounting services and records.
  • Management and coordination of monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • In charge of creating the company's financial and management accounting procedures.
  • To prevent expired or unpaid invoices, reconcile the list of purchase invoices with the headquarters.
  • Reconciliation of month-end balances and transactions.
  • Controlling expenses through proper analysis.
  • Monitoring booking system entries.
  • Inventory management is being handled in collaboration with the Facilities team.
  • Accounting and reconciling trial balances, P&L, and BS at the end of each month.
  • Prepare in-depth account analyses and journal entries.
  • Aid in information gathering for tax and VAT return preparation.
  • General Management.
  • Other ad hoc duties delegated by the Executive Director.
