We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical/Procurement Engineer role in a Machinery Manufacturing based in CA. It is the industry pioneer in automated production, manufacturing, and machining, producing products of the highest caliber while constantly raising the bar on quality standards to stay at the top of its game. They are seeking a full-time Mandarin-speaking Mechanical/Procurement Engineer with years of experience and fresh ideas to join the team.
Job Requirements:
- Mechanical engineering or a closely related field as a bachelor's degree.
- At least 5 years of experience outsourcing technical products.
- SolidWorks expertise of at least 3 years.
- Excellent knowledge of GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5-2009 standards.
- Outstanding communication and documentation abilities.
- Knowledge of a machine shop's inner workings.
- Mandarin fluency is required.
- Capable of reading, writing, and translating technical Mandarin terminology.
- Outstanding communication and negotiating skills.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee prints for parts, assemblies, and BOMs for outsourcing.
- Make 3D models and drawings for outsourcing purposes.
- Produce rough machined part models and prints for outsourced production.
- Before production, examine incoming sample parts and record your findings.
- Prepare inspection plans for receiving high-volume orders.
- Determine the appropriate AQL for the outsourced product based on the risk.
- Consider tasks as urgently needing to be completed.
- Take prompt, well-informed action to resolve outsourcing and vendor issues.
- To track projects, communicate with the purchasing department regularly.
- Every day, communicate freely and bounce ideas off peers.
- Ownership of the project from conception to completion.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned.
