We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Manager - Permanent role in a Motor Vehicle Manufacturing company. It is a significant Chinese automobile OEM with R&D centers in several locations to address various automotive engineering specialties. The HR Manager will supervise a small HR staff that will assist in all HR-related tasks necessary to meet organisational objectives. The candidate must possess second-line skills that may be verified by experience gained in a setting that is similar.

Job Requirements:

  • 3 years of relevant HR experience is required.
  • English and Chinese are both spoken and written with ease.
  • Strong interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of UK labour law.
  • Possess professional experience in budget planning, hiring, and ER.
  • A degree in HR or a related field is preferred.
  • Level 5 or above CIPD.
     

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Control and oversee budget management for HR and administration.
  • Material for planning the headcount.
  • Administration of the company's licence for skilled worker sponsorship.
  • Payroll and company/remuneration perks management.
  • Bolster strategic planning following Chinese HQ demands.
  • Supervising, creating, and reviewing HR policies and practises, including the yearly review.
  • Supervise the hiring of talent.
  • Assist line managers and senior personnel from China and the UK by collaborating closely with them.
  • Oversee, create performance plans, track, and assess employee performance.
  • Create a competency framework and skills matrix for the company.
  • Oversee a programme for training and development.
  • Support international expat programmes and information transfer initiatives between the UK and China.
  • Be in charge of managing VIP events, including key officials from headquarters.
  • Oversee problems relating to employee relations and welfare for both British and Chinese expat personnel.
  • Support the operations and engineering departments with qualified Chinese and English translation and interpretation as needed.
  • Support the departments of UK operation and China operation in their collaboration and communication.
  • Regularly produce operational and HR reports for HQ.
