We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager role in a Newark-based Biotechnology Research company. It is a market leader in the creation of recombinant proteins dedicated to excellence in delivering high-quality goods and services and quickening the development of target therapeutics. The Business Development manager's goals are to develop the company's marketing plan to enter either the UK or the French market, as well as to cultivate and maintain relationships with current and potential clients and distributors to grow our business in the biopharmaceutical sector.

Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree or above, with a preference for a biological sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or allied major.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the pharmaceutical sector as a marketing or sales executive in business development.
  • Experience in the BD of foreign markets is desired.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and handle pressure.
  • Superior problem-solving abilities.
  • Pay close attention to the details.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Time management and prioritising skills.
  • excellent spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Superior business sense.
  • Strong project management and data analysis abilities.
  • Proficient in negotiations.
  • Capable of securing significant sales possibilities.
  • The capacity to do market research.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Helping the team leader to develop a suitable marketing and sales plan based on a thorough examination of the market, the competitors, consumer behaviour, and our existing condition.
  • Develop and maintain a solid rapport with important local clients and distributors. With the aid of internal or external resources, provide timely training and relevant solutions to increase our client base and brand exposure.
  • Helping the team leader build up a system for managing and assessing local distributors, including but not limited to screening new distributors and establishing yearly sales targets for each distributor.
  • Work with the marketing team on allied marketing initiatives, such as the creation and implementation of appropriate events (webinars, seminars, exhibitions, etc.), the screening of media and promotion platforms, the organisation of internal resources to deliver speeches at the events as required, and the monitoring of the promotion material design.
  • Attend trade exhibitions and events in your field to expand your network and knowledge base.
  • Reach agreed-upon sales revenue goals in local marketplaces.
  • Create and update sales status reports that include contacts, leads, and sales that have been verified through direct and partner channels.
