We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Excellence Manager role in a Solar Electric Power Generation company based in London. From project development all the way through to managing and running solar projects across our extensive portfolio, it is a global solar leader that is thriving. The Procurement Excellence Manager serves in a leadership capacity for the Global Procurement team, assisting senior leadership in assuring excellence in project execution as well as offering market, products, competitor, and customer insights to support strategic decision-making.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in power, electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering is required.
- MBA or a Master of Science degree is preferable.
- The preferred professional certifications are CPSM, CSCP, and CIPS.
- English proficiency, both verbally and in writing, is crucial.
- Mandarin is a plus but not required.
- Experience in the field of renewable energy.
- 8 years or more of business experience in operations, global sourcing, procurement, and delivery
- Competence in assisting multi-functional initiatives in a remote, multinational work environment
- Prior knowledge of conducting business in Asia.
- It's crucial to have a thorough grasp of the suppliers, distributors, and contractors in the worldwide solar and energy storage business.

Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Promoting operational excellence through the establishment of procedures and improved processes.
- To facilitate seamless communication and long-term business success, deliver operational excellence assistance to multi-stakeholder divisions, and create an end-to-end business delivery excellence system.
- Create and maintain a cost database and make sure it is updated correctly.
- Build market and supply chain intelligence for solar and energy storage by gathering data from many sources, including internal stakeholders in the procurement team.
- Develop thorough distribution network and cost intelligence on solar and energy storage, including but not limited to new product developments, costs and trends, market growth estimates, and market pressures. This information should cover suppliers as well as rivals and customer models.
- Assist the engineering and business development teams with intelligence insights and the procurement team's strategic sourcing efforts.
- Work together with regional and global procurement teams to develop strategic cost measures and guarantee top-notch project delivery.
- Together with the rest of the procurement team, develop a forward costing plan to aid in cost estimation, reduction, supply chain initiatives, and business decisions.
- Use the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to implement a complete business delivery tool that includes supplier management, cost analysis, engineering reviews, ESG standards, etc.
- Internal stakeholders are regularly updated on performance data and the procurement strategy, including the board.
- Participate in the development and execution of the Project Management Office as the procurement team's representative.
