We have an exciting opportunity for a Market Analyst role for a renewables & environment company based in Lowestoft. The company is a leading provider of strategic market intelligence and consulting services for global offshore renewable energy. A new opportunity has opened for a motivated researcher to join their Greater China Team.
Job Requirements:
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented.
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Exceptional writing abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Self-motivated individual with a proactive, results-driven approach, ensuring work quality and completion.
- Strong communication skills and openness to cold-calling for gathering information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree is preferred).
- Additional experience in the following areas is advantageous: multilingual abilities, strong numerical and statistical skills, knowledge of MS Access/SQL, or experience with Geographical Information Systems.
- Preference is given to candidates with over one year of experience in the energy sector.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitoring project pipelines, emerging technologies, and contractors in the offshore wind and marine energy sectors within Greater China, and providing key insights to our global subscribers.
- Supporting the Greater China Team Lead through data research, analysis, report writing, and consulting projects.
- Assisting in business development activities within the Greater China team.
- Ensuring the company’s information systems are maintained with accurate and compelling content.
- Overseeing quality control and completeness of information systems.
- Actively engaging with the industry to obtain the latest information.
- Building a personal network across the supply chain.
- Conducting in-depth research to stay informed about current trends and developments.
- Writing news articles in Chinese and translating selected news and reports into Chinese.
- Networking and delivering presentations at industry events.
- Representing the company at exhibitions in Greater China and collaborating with team members to organize event activities.
- Providing timely and effective customer support by addressing requests promptly.
