We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager in a UK-based IT and Consulting firm. They are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to lead the deployment of autonomous vehicle technology. In this key role,  the responsibility will be to ensure successful project execution, customer satisfaction, and adherence to regulatory requirements. The Project Manager will serve as a vital link between the headquarters and local operations, promoting effective communication and collaboration.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Basic proficiency in Chinese for everyday communication.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and technology implementation, ideally within the automotive or autonomous vehicle industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective engagement with stakeholders from various backgrounds.
  • Ability to bridge cultural differences, promote collaboration, and navigate cultural sensitivities.
  • Excellent communication skills for delivering project updates, outlining requirements, and addressing challenges.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and operational practices concerning autonomous vehicles is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Flexibility to collaborate across time zones and work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between customers and headquarters.
  • Facilitate regular communication to keep both parties informed about project status, milestones, challenges, and requirements.
  • Collaborate with customers to tailor our autonomous trucking technology to meet local regulations and operational standards.
  • Ensure that all deployments adhere to local regulations, safety standards, and operational requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Address concerns, secure necessary permits, and ensure smooth project deployment.
  • Execute project plans as defined by headquarters, ensuring that all phases, timelines, and deliverables are achieved.
  • Coordinate local and cross-functional teams, working closely with headquarters to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, milestones, and key performance indicators to both customers and headquarters.
  • Prepare regular status updates and maintain detailed project documentation.
  • Align local project execution with the strategic goals, timelines, and quality standards set by headquarters.
  • Collaborate closely with HQ teams for technical support, decision-making, and resource allocation.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of autonomous truck deployment, including testing, maintenance, and data management.
  • Coordinate local resources and logistics to support deployment activities effectively.
  • Serve as a cultural liaison, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding between the Chinese team and local stakeholders.
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative environment that appreciates and integrates diverse perspectives and expertise.
