We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant for a California-based immigration law office. Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree is desirable.
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is mandatory.
- Strong focus on meticulousness.
- Capable of thriving in a high-speed work setting.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Work history in administrative support, with at least 1 year of experience is preferred and not mandatory.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete relevant application forms for submission to the Departments of Homeland Security, State, Justice, and Labor.
- Assist Case Managers and Attorneys in compiling necessary documents for case filings.
- Collaborate with translation agencies, review, or occasionally perform Chinese-to-English translations.
- Manage the case management system.
- Maintain both electronic and physical filing systems.
- Offer general administrative and clerical assistance, such as mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying.
- Handle errands for the company, such as trips to the post office.
