We have an exciting opportunity for a Medicaid Coordinator role in a Flushing-based Health Care center. It is a sub-acute, rehabilitation, and nursing center dedicated to providing superior healthcare through knowledge, integrity, compassion, and empathy. They are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join their diverse team of qualified professionals.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Although prior Medicaid or Long Term Care experience is highly desired, however, prepared to train the right applicant.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Work together with the residents' families to gather all the data required to determine eligibility for benefits.
- Examine admission forms for Medicaid-eligible residents.
- Gather all of the documents required to apply for Medicaid.
- Discuss various Medicaid issues with both residents and their families.
- Make sure all applications are approved by conducting follow-ups.
- Secure and fill out the necessary forms in line with the established procedure.
- Carry out other job-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
