We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile App Developer role in an appliance, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing company based in New York. The company offers a full line of luminaires that seamlessly blend discreet style and functionality. The company is looking for an experienced mobile app developer with experience on the Android and iOS platforms to add to the global IoT team. This individual will suggest and carry out new applications and procedures in a cutting-edge and innovative environment.
Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study is required.
- 5+ years of formally documented professional experience creating Android and iOS apps.
- Solid demonstrated understanding of the entire mobile development life cycle.
- Capability to provide a professional portfolio containing at least two original Android/iOS apps.
- Worked with remote data using REST and JSON.
- working knowledge of libraries and APIs from third parties.
- Extensive practical experience with programming languages such as Swift and Java.
- Advanced functional expertise with a desire to keep up with emerging technologies, trends, and architectural developments.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—for technical documentation.
- Capable of interpreting and following technical plans.
- Proven track record of success in a fast-paced and demanding start-up environment.
- Mandarin language skills (both written and spoken) are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Verify the applications' functionality, responsiveness, and quality.
- Create advanced applications and protocols for the Android and iOS platforms.
- Work together to define new features, create them, and incorporate product structures into applications with cross-functional engineering resources.
- Use external data sources and APIs.
- Train, guide, and motivate junior staff.
- Test code at the unit level for durability, including edge cases, accessibility, and reliability.
- Ensure that application performance is improved by fixing bugs.
- To increase development efficiency, continually identify, assess, and apply new technologies.
- Create application programming interfaces (APIs) that facilitate the functionality of mobile devices.
