We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Marketing Engineer role in an Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing company based in Taiwan. With operations in Asia, the Americas, and Europe, it is a market innovator and leader in connectivity technologies for data centers, mobile devices, computing, and Internet of Things environments. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have a great deal of expertise, and be able to write and distribute reports on significant SDO actions, activities, concerns, and product outputs.
Job Requirements:
- Required to hold a BS/MS in engineering or another technical degree.
- 5 years minimum of appropriate experience working for a connector/cable manufacturer or an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of computers/servers.
- The ability to read mechanical drawings is required, and GD&T knowledge is recommended.
- It would be ideal to have at least a fundamental understanding of common SI metrics.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Speaking Mandarin is advantageous.
- A maximum of 15% travel is required.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Represent the business in a variety of international industry SDOs, such as JEDEC, OCP, PCI-SIG, SATA, SFF, T10, and USB-IF.
- Participate actively in the definition and development of industry standards and specifications by attending scheduled SDO meetings, which are typically held via Webex, Teams, or Zoom.
- Maintain two-way communication between the FIT organization (BU, R&D, and Sales) and those SDOs.
- Participate in FIT Marketing and/or Engineering meetings to discuss new standard activities and trends.
- To attend SDO face-to-face meetings, some travel may be needed.
