We have an exciting opportunity for a CAE Engineer - Mechanical Engineering role in a Renewable Energy Semiconductor Manufacturing company based in Horsham. It is a top-tier engineering and fuel cell technology firm creating next-generation, low-cost fuel cells. The development and optimization of stack and system designs using CAE methods is the primary goal of this role. This highly technical position calls for someone who can comprehend intricate fuel cell technology principles and apply them to CFD/Flow/Thermal modelling and simulations to reach well-informed decisions.

Job Requirements:

• Mechanical engineering degree/degree/Ph.D. master's or similar.
• Excellent manual math and Excel analytical abilities to support thorough analysis findings.
• CAE analysis experience, primarily.
• CFD, Flow, Thermodynamics, and Multiphysics) in a professional engineering setting.
• Time management skills, as well as the high expectations of others, while working under pressure.
• Capable of switching between several CAE software and the analysis needs of various projects.
• Comprehension of the steps in the CAE modelling process, such as meshing, boundary conditions, solution optimization, and results interpretation.
• Knowledge of the many CAE analysis types used to address real-world design issues.
• CFD/Flow simulation.
• Thermal modelling.
• Multiple-Physics simulation.
• It would be advantageous to have prior ANSYS Fluent and/or COMSOL experience.Flexibility in learning to execute these many sorts of analysis to satisfy project requirements.
• Understanding the model development lifecycle, which starts with business needs and ends with a fit-for-purpose analysis.
• Demonstrated practical skills to complement academic training.
• Knowing how to solve problems using fact-based decision-making procedures, such as DOE.
• Keen interest in electrochemical applications such as fuel cells, batteries, electrolysers, or others in your degree or job.
• Cantonese and Mandarin proficiency is preferred.
• An effective presenter and communicator.
• Ability to have an impact on new product design through accurate, concise, data-driven analytical outcomes.
• Comfortable working with extremely complicated simulation models that might be technically difficult.
• Ability to strike the ideal mix between model accuracy and simplicity.
• Able to effectively troubleshoot and optimise simulation execution durations within hardware constraints.
• Capacity for manual and spreadsheet computations to support analytical results.
• Proactive in ensuring that simulation outcomes are contrasted with design specifications.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.
