We have an exciting opportunity for a Scientific Operations Assistant role in a Biotechnology Research company based in England. This company is a leader in the field of life biomedical research antibodies, proteins, ELISA kits, and other tests. To join their dynamic team, the organisation is searching for a versatile, well-organized, and capable Scientific Operations Assistant. The Assistant will be in charge of providing individualised secretarial and administrative assistance to managers and senior employees, including organising meetings and processing mail.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in a life science field and/or extensive understanding of biology or biological products are necessary.
- Extremely detail-oriented.
- It is necessary to be well-organized, decisive, efficient, and realistic.
- Problem-solving requires both creative and rigorous thought.
- Survives in a physically active role.
- Self-starter and proactive, with a positive mindset and a desire to learn.
- Strong communication abilities, both verbally and in writing.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinating with colleagues in sales and manufacturing, as well as establishing logistical plans.
- Handling a wide range of products, with over 90% of them requiring cold chain transfer.
- Creating and printing required export and import paperwork.
- Product stock checks to guarantee that items are available for departing orders.
- Order packing and shipping.
- Changing order status, such as designating as sent, by updating the system.
- As needed, assisting with the settlement of email inquiries and projects.
- Checking courier invoices, handling claims, and administrative work.
- Recommendations for front-end and back-end procedure and functionality automation and/or upgrades.
