We have an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor role in a leading Manchester-based law firm that provides private, business, and international legal services to a diverse range of clients, including multinational companies, investment banks, privately-held companies, small and medium-sized businesses, regulatory authorities, and governments, as well as entrepreneurs, start-ups, and individuals. This position is ideal for someone who is commercially minded, self-motivated, and does not require supervision in their routine casework.
 

Job Requirements:

• Good knowledge of business, contract, and conveyancing.
• Strong commercial knowledge of business and client potential.
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and vocal.
• Reviewing cases, providing high-quality legal advice, and developing a case strategy.
• Capability to multitask, wear many hats, and cope with competing responsibilities quickly.
• Ability to oversee the whole litigation department.
• Ability to bring matters to a conclusion quickly (either by settlement or trial).
• Focus on results that go above and beyond the client's expectations, as well as previous experience providing great results for clients.
• Ability to operate under pressure and keep a regular schedule of proceedings, legal proceedings, and meetings based on the firm's computerised diary and case list.
• Extensive knowledge of civil procedural regulations and litigation case management.
• Ability to prepare all standard litigation papers, including the statement of claim, witness statements, expenses schedules, applications, orders, and part 36 offers.
• Maintaining a personal but business relationship with clients.
• Ability to accept potential customer inquiries, market the firm's services, and sign the client up.
• Ability to guarantee that clients are invoiced regularly and that client debts are maintained to a minimal.
• Ability to charge to monthly objectives and time records utilising the firm's case management software.
• Ability to help with internal-external networking events, presentations, and web articles to promote and advertise the firm's services.
• Must be self-driven and like a challenging and varied task.
• Ability to swiftly grasp new areas of law and go right into the action.
• Self-discipline to take charge of one's work and deadlines, as well as to move cases along promptly and efficiently.
• Detail-oriented and a constant desire to grow and develop oneself.
• Strong self-standards, capacity to work under pressure, driven, adaptable, enthusiastic, proactive, team player, and have a can-do attitude.
