We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Officer role in a Financial Services company based in London. The firm is a rapidly developing, publicly-traded fintech in the international payments market. As a Compliance Officer, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to AML legislation. The company is seeking a fluent Mandarin speaker with the necessary abilities and experience to join the team.

Job Requirements:

•   Has a strong command of both Mandarin and English.
•   The ability to think critically, communicate effectively.
•   The candidate must have at least one year of equivalent experience inside an Electronic Money Organization (EMO).
•   A thorough grasp of the major payment risks and laws.
•   Investigated and/or performed KYC/sanctions checks.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

•   Assist new clients with KYC and onboarding, and communicate with them in a suitable manner.
•   Analyse the risks involved and take necessary precautions.
•   Identify hazards at the start of each new customer engagement and keep an eye on them on a regular basis.
•   In addition, undertake continual monitoring of all new customer connections for negative media, PEPs and sanctions.
•   Perform transaction monitoring.
•   Maintain AML and customer due diligence data on an ongoing basis.
•   Special activities, such as developing processes and collecting data for regulators, will require advice and support from the Compliance team.
