We have an exciting opportunity for a Post Completion Clerk role in with a Law Firm in London. The business is a well-known London law firm with a significant global presence, offering a comprehensive range of skilled legal services to commercial and private customers through specialised departments. It is looking for a conscientious, self-driven, quick learner with experience as a Post Completion Clerk who also has a strong understanding of conveyancing, technical skills, and a proactive attitude to risk management. The ideal applicant will be given access to chances for career advancement and pertinent professional training.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Ideally, should have at least 6 months' experience working in a comparable job and be ready to jump right in with a range of residential concerns (possibly commercial, but not necessary).
  • Able to operate both independently and as a team.
  • Capable of displaying self-assurance and motivation.
  • Being able to work under pressure and to stringent deadlines.
  • Detail-orientedness is crucial.
  • Tech-savvy.
  • Experience in residential real estate, for example.
  • Sale of freehold and leasehold properties.
  • Remortgages and bridging deals.
  • Purchases of new builds (it's helpful to have HTB expertise, but not required.
  • Buy to Let (includes Company) acquisitions and refinances.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Completing and submitting the SDLT form within the allotted 14 days.
  • MR01 filing with Companies House within the allotted 21 days (if applicable).
  • Registrations using the Land Registry website.
  • Creating and distributing completion notices (if applicable).
  • Putting Insurance at Risk (if applicable).
  • Being proactive in contacting the attorneys for the opposing party and/or responding to requests from the Land Registry(s).
  • Scheduling delivery of documents and deeds to clients and lenders.
  • Housekeeping tasks, file closing preparation.
  • LMS & Lender Exchange Updates (periodically).
