We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Financial Reporting Manager role in a Furniture and Home Furnishings Manufacturing company based in London. The firm is more than just a furniture and homeware shop; it is a well-established Interior Design and Trade enterprise with operations in the United Kingdom, the United States, and China. It is now searching for an experienced Group Financial Reporting Manager to join the team and take ultimate responsibility for Group Finance, covering the major UK, USA, and Retail divisions.

Job Requirements:

  • Accountant with a minimum of 2 years PQE (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent recognised professional certification).
  • Understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Working knowledge of an ERP system is required.
  • Demonstrated managerial accounting experience backed up by strong technical skills.
  • Financial auditing experience.
  • Self-assured in compiling year-end financial statements and collaborating with auditors to swiftly complete the external audit process.
  • Strong people management in a variety of locations and nationalities.
  • Capable of managing many work streams and meeting deadlines, both own workload and the workload of the team.
  • Detail-oriented and eager to work hands-on.
  • Confidently conveying financial concerns with non-finance teams.
  • Strong computer abilities, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint, are essential.
  • Working experience in a high-growth workplace and being adaptable is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct reports to the UK Senior Management Accountant and Group Accountant, as well as the US Director of Accounting, are managed.
  • Overall accountability for producing monthly financial reporting - profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow (company, sales channel, cost centre levels).
  • Investor disclosure.
  • Management of SLT and Board presentation.
  •  Monitor cost analysis reports.
  • Overall accountability for group consolidation, which comprises the main trade divisions in the UK and the US, three holdings, and a Chinese business (supplier liaison/QC role).
  • Business collaboration with department heads on monthly profit and loss statements.
  • Accounting for monthly leases (IFRS16).
  • In accordance with the agreed-upon timeframe, evaluate the monthly balance sheet reconciliation report.
  • Review with the Group Finance Controller / Chief Financial Officer.
  • Ownership and total authority over monthly payroll reporting and analysis
  • Oversee the team's fulfilment of monthly trended schedules.
  • With the help of the auditors and the Finance team, ensure that the Group audit is completed successfully.
  • Make lead schedules and analyses for yearly audited accounts.
  • Accountable for all tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, PAYE), including the preparation of PAYE returns and the assessment of the team's VAT and corporate tax workings and submits.
  • Budgeting and forecasting assistance to the Head of FP&A
  • As needed, ad hoc projects and activities.
  • Administer the Netsuite ERP post-implementation for Management Accounts in particular.
  • Examine the month-end timeline and Netsuite reporting to shorten the month-end to report during the first week of the month.
  • Improve month-end procedures by collaborating with the Group Financial Controller on priority areas.
  • When necessary, act as a stand-in for the Group Financial Controller.
  • Assist in the creation of ESG data on a quarterly basis.
