We have an exciting opportunity for a Bilingual IT Engineer for a UK-based Motor Vehicle Manufacturing company. They are seeking a bilingual IT Engineer to ensure the efficient operation of the company's IT infrastructure. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service skills. The IT Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing software, hardware, and networks, ensuring smooth and efficient technology operations to support business needs.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin.
- Familiarity with IT core infrastructure, Windows Servers & Exchange, SCCM, LAN, WAN, and internet technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related IT field.
- Additional IT certifications like CCNA, VCP, MCSE, and MCSA are advantageous.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with the business to define requirements and develop effective technical solutions.
- Strong communication and relationship-building.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure & Systems Engineer to deliver IT support and provide mutual backup.
- Ensure user support requests are logged, and addressed promptly, and all IT issues are resolved and documented promptly.
- Maintain IT servers, networks, software, and office systems; monitor IT systems and perform capacity management. Maintain data storage and backup solutions.
- Assist R&D engineers with the implementation and management of various R&D software.
- Install, support, and maintain all network-connected devices. Provide support for Hyper-V server virtualization, SCCM, etc.
- Ensure the security of all IT systems and equipment.
- Communicate with the headquarters IT department for IT project implementation as needed.
- Manage IT assets and improve IT policies.
- Perform other IT-related tasks assigned by the line manager and/or senior management.
