We have an exciting opportunity for a China Sales and Account Manager role in a London-based education company. The company is looking for a Chinese Sales Manager (for the Chinese market) to join the team and play a pivotal role with Chinese customers and prospects in the China overseas study programs. In this role, the Sales Manager will be responsible for establishing relationships with existing and potential clients within and outside the community. They will ensure that all customer inquiries are addressed promptly and effectively, and that comprehensive handover notes are provided to the team.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Professional proficiency in Mandarin.
- Fluent in English.
- Over three years of advanced experience in organizing overseas study tours.
- Experience in hosting Chinese delegations and groups in the UK.
- Preferable experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, particularly HubSpot.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Zoom for video conferencing.
- Experience in designing travel itineraries and camp products.
- Skilled in recruiting agents and promotional partners.
- Ability to liaise with the Education Bureau and Foreign Affairs.
- Expertise in managing relationships with Chinese partner schools.
- Account management across a network of local partners and agents in China.
- Proficient in handling inquiries and securing business in a competitive environment.
- Experience with task management software, such as Monday.com.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proactive in seeking clarification.
- Strong planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Quick thinking and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Highly articulate in both written and verbal communication.
- Capable of efficient time management in a fast-paced setting.
- Able to work independently and proactively resolve issues.
- Demonstrates hard work and persistence.
- Degree required.
- Preferred, but not essential, experience in sales, telesales, and appointment setting.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Expand the customer base in public, private, and international schools across China.
- Expand the network of agents.
- Strengthen connections with the Education Bureau.
- Generate and convert sales inquiries into opportunities.
- Lead the development of a professional sales and account management team.
- Enhance and expand the profiles of our contacts in China.
- Increase community awareness about the company and how it supports schools in developing global perspectives.
- Follow up on sales calls with proposal quotes based on expert recommendations.
- Send reminder prompts at key stages of the sales funnel.
- Schedule appointments for our sales team and school transformation specialists.
- Support the operational organization and execution of student exchange programs.
- Serve as a central and persuasive advocate for the brand, representing both on-site and off-site customer experiences.
- Manage accounts of existing customers and partners, ensuring continuous growth and maintenance.
- Be mindful of, responsible for, and supportive of the overall business efforts to drive targeted year-over-year growth and revenue in all regions.
