We have an exciting opportunity for a Venture Technology Manager for a global non-governmental, non-profit innovation platform headquartered in Beijing and Guangzhou. They seek technical professionals and engineers to collaborate with their skilled teams. The objective is to pinpoint and nurture technologies that address genuine market demands, oversee ongoing portfolio projects, and expedite the process of bringing innovations to market.
Job Requirements:
- A Ph.D. qualification (mandatory) in fields including Optoelectronics, Materials, Intelligent Manufacturing, Medical Devices, Biomedicine, or Environmental Engineering.
- Preferably, experience in industrial roles like technology research and development, and technology management.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to provide clear and concise recommendations to senior executives.
- Proficiency in Chinese (mandatory).
- Possess critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Assess market demands and technological advancements, identify potential opportunities, and instigate cooperative ventures within specific domains.
- Perform thorough market and technical assessments, compile comprehensive evaluations, and produce detailed investment recommendation reports.
- Oversee funded projects by maintaining regular communication with project teams, preparing monthly progress updates, and conducting milestone assessments.
- Foster close collaboration with teams in the UK, US, and worldwide, along with external collaborators such as professors and industry professionals, to aid research entities and startup ventures resolve technical challenges.
- Validate routes for commercialization and offer guidance to nascent technologies to streamline technology transfer and support the establishment of startup enterprises.
