We have an exciting opportunity for a Controller role for a California-based Computer Hardware Manufacturing Company. They are looking for a Controller responsible for supervising the Company's financial performance and controls, reporting Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) financials, budget discrepancies, and important performance metrics to Headquarters, as per corporate policies and standards. They will offer financial guidance to the organization and suggest enhancements to accounting, financial, and operational methods and protocols.

Job Requirements: 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration is a mandatory requirement.
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience is necessary.
  • Preferred qualifications include holding a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
  • Proficient in US GAAP and cost accounting principles.
  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English.
  • Willing and able to travel when required.
  • Familiar with budgeting, and forecasting techniques, and skilled in financial statement analysis and projection.
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP financial software.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities are required.
  • Exceptional analytical skills are required.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple tasks concurrently and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Adept at reading, analyzing, and interpreting financial reports and legal documents.
  • Effective in handling sensitive inquiries from the business.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external parties.
  • Capable of building relationships with colleagues, clients, and supervisory staff.
  • Exemplifies the highest personal and professional integrity standards and promotes ethical business conduct.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, encompassing Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (G/L), Inventory/Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Supervise the month-end closing process and prepare monthly financial statements and operational reports for the site.
  • Analyze discrepancies and communicate these findings to management, along with recommended actions.
  • Create income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement forecasts.
  • Supervise legal, administrative, and HR functions, collaborating across organizational boundaries and all company levels to attain country or corporate goals.
  • Facilitate the integration and training of new staff, while also promoting the ongoing professional development of the existing team.
  • Assist in sales and sales support activities, including the establishment of standard operating procedures for sales-related tasks.
  • Establish clear, measurable, and easy-to-administer key performance indicators (KPIs), bonuses, and other variable compensation plans.
  • Determine product costs to support quotation activities. Share best practices with global finance teams, such as process enhancements, financial modeling, and procedural changes.
  • Proactively provide consultation, interpretation, and education on complex financial and operational matters to various department leaders to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager, accountants, and senior management to elucidate results, drive improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, gain insights into operations, and lead complex analyses.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls (in accordance with corporate policies) to maintain reporting integrity, protect company assets, and identify risks.
  • Ensure adherence to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and local statutory requirements in accounting practices.
