We have an exciting opportunity for a Store Assistant role in an Internet logistics company based in London. The company is a giant overseas Chinese food delivery service company that has expanded into several nations. It seeks to hire an individual with relevant experience working in a supermarket setting.
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience in retail or customer service is required.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is preferred.
- Familiarity with Easy Asian and South East Asian food products is desirable.
- The ability to work and communicate effectively with the public, collaborate within a team, and experience in stock replenishment, especially with large quantities, is essential.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver a consistently high level of professional customer service.
- Handle customer transactions, including processing cash and card payments.
- Assist customers in locating requested goods and products.
- Report customer complaints to senior staff. Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge.
- Receive and organize stock deliveries, ensuring proper stocking procedures such as rotation and accurate price tagging.
- Conduct data checks on stock to minimize wastage.
- Stay informed about special promotions and contribute to setting up displays.
- Follow work instructions from senior staff and supervisors.
- Report any issues or problems to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain an exemplary attendance record.
- Reconcile cash registers, taking responsibility for any discrepancies.
- Uphold store cleanliness and safety standards, including vacuuming, mopping, and waste disposal.
- Remain vigilant for potential threats, including shoplifting and fraudulent transactions, and report such issues to supervisors.
- Prioritize and maintain Health and safety protocols throughout the store.
