We have an exciting opportunity for a Freight Sales - Junior role in a Southampton-based Transportation Logistics, Supply Chain, and Storage company. It is a reputable company that has been expertly and professionally handling international shipments for a few decades. They are seeking someone with operational role experience for a freight forwarding company.
Job Requirements:
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and being an effective team player
- Expertise in shipping quotations and rate negotiations, or a strong desire to broaden basic knowledge.
- Dedicated to customer service.
- Prior knowledge of Freight Forwarding is required.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
- Eager to learn and grow.
- Working knowledge of Cargowise, Outlook, and Office.
- Mandarin and Cantonese Speaker.
- Ability to commute/relocate to Southampton.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Find new opportunities from internal and external sources to develop and secure that are centred on sea, air, and road freight.
- Increasing business from existing clients and contacting former clients for feedback.
- Maintain proactive contact with customers to ensure that their needs are met and to develop additional business opportunities from that account.
- Effectively communicate with international partners.
- Collaboration with the operations team is essential.
