We have an exciting opportunity for a Trust Officer role in a global Financial Services company. Since its inception, it has grown to become a global corporate, trustee, and fund services provider with a presence in multiple nations. They are currently looking for a Bilingual Trust Officer who will be in charge of the training, development, management, and oversight of small teams, as well as providing clients with expert advice on trust and estate matters, as well as creating and overseeing trusts in accordance with the terms of the governing trust documents.

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, law, or another related field is required.
  • Fluently communicate, read, and write in Mandarin.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing or administering trusts, or a mix of education and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal compliance laws and practices pertaining to trust accounts, such as BSA/AML.
  • Knowledgeable of Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite, and cloud-based programs, and eager to learn new ones.
  • Extensive experience managing or guiding others, employee training, and writing reports, correspondence, and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, as well as uncanny attention to detail.
  • Flexible and at ease dealing with a variable workload, frequently dealing with multiple ongoing matters at once.
  • Read, examine, and interpret trade publications, academic journals, and technical instructions.
  • A solid understanding of different asset classes.
  • Capability to be self-directed while also delegating as needed.
  • Reliable commuter or ready to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required).

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, complete, and present trust administration committee discretionary requests.
  • Review, wrap up, and authorize daily transactions, then follow up to make sure that they were processed correctly and to escalate any problems to compliance or management.
  • Make certain that all outside tax preparation processes are adhered to and completed.
  • Take part in discussions with Internal Auditors, the Division of Banking, and other regulators and examiners, as well as the preparation and evaluation of any objectives.
  • Accountable for managing ongoing relationships and all Trust administration-related activities.
  • Control the complaint process.
  • Prepare and revise directive letters.
  • Ensure that all account files are kept up to date and that all projects are finished by the deadline.
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to all company policies and procedures, as well as using that knowledge to participate in department meetings.
  • Examine and complete annual administration reviews, risk assessments, investment assessments, and other reviews as needed.
  • Examine and complete the account closure/termination package.
  • Examine and complete asset addition/revocation forms.
  • Assist in the development of new businesses.
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.
