We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Staff Accountant role in a Food Production based in California. The firm offers high-quality contract manufacturing services to the dietary supplement and sports nutrition industries. This position will perform various duties for the Accounting Department and require an experienced individual.
Job Requirements:
- Mandarin fluency is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and at least 2 years of accounting/bookkeeping expertise.
- Advanced understanding of accounting software and the EPR system.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously with little guidance.
- Capability to multi-task and prioritize duties.
- Working under pressure and dealing with complex issues.
- The ability to meet a steady stream of deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Accounting software and program knowledge.
- Microsoft Office proficiency is required (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide the CFO with assistance with account reconciliations, cost schedules, etc.
- Compile electronic data and required documentation to create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts.
- Write up and prepare financial status and transaction reports, such as a profit and loss statement and other required reports.
- Follow all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as any applicable laws.
- Participate actively in all aspects of the company's financial management, including account reconciliations and reporting to the appropriate parties.
- Coordination of more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other accounting and finance team members or other departments.
- Keeping proper financial records.
- Accounts payable and receivable management.
- Assist with a range of accounting and financial tasks.
- Create a budget and prepare financial statements on time.
- Accounts payable and receivable must be verified, allocated, posted, and reconciled.
- Analyze financial data and summarise the financial situation.
- Participate in the development of financial standards and the forecasting process.
- Organize audits both internally and externally to ensure compliance.
- Help with the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Other relevant tasks as assigned.
