We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant role in an IT Services and IT Consulting company based in London. It is a technology company striving to make it simpler and more effective for travelers to ask for assistance. To keep up their high performance and productivity, they are currently looking for a qualified accountant to join their team.

Job Requirements:

Certified accountant (CPA or ACCA or equivalent).
Ideally, you should have at least 2-3 years of relevant PQE.
Exceptional knowledge of the Xero accounting system.
Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax laws.
Extensive experience with reporting and Excel.
Capable of demonstrating practical experience with monthly management accounts and VAT returns.
Ability to work with large amounts of data and processes while paying close attention to detail.
Capability to identify and resolve and respond to non-routine events and problems.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Outstanding organisational and planning abilities.
A strong dedication to ethical behaviour.
Prior relevant work exposure at SaaS firms.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Maintaining the accuracy of all accounting records and data on file.
Itemising accounting transactions on a daily basis using the Xero system.
Accounting ledger reconciliations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Generate management accounts every month.
Conduct and control monthly payroll and payroll consolidations (including PAYE and Pension).
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, final accounts, and corporate tax returns.
Liaison with an outside consultant for R&D claims.
Budgeting and monitoring assistance.
Assist with fundraising.
Ad hoc tasks.
