We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tax Manager - Finance Center, GBR role in a Retail Apparel and Fashion company based in Singapore. It is a multi-national fashion and lifestyle e-retailer that strives to deliver a range of reasonably priced products to customers in more than 100 countries around the world. They are seeking to hire an individual with extensive experience in EU/UK taxes for this position.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of tax expertise in the EU or the UK, a desire to change the world, and knowledge of e-commerce or other online businesses.
- The ability to communicate complex tax issues to all organisational levels in a way that emphasises values has been proven through thought leadership.
- Exhibited leadership in initiating acquisitions and mergers and corporate restructuring deals.
- Demonstrated capacity to establish connections across an organisation in a highly matrixed setting.
- An excellent communicator and people person who works well in teams
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- Fluency in English and Chinese is preferred.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the timeliness and accuracy of tax filing, the paperwork of all tax returns, cross-border transactions, and transfer pricing issues for local entities in accordance with local and international laws and regulations.
- Arranging regular meetings and handling all tax-related communications with tax authorities.
- Take an active part in the relationships between the group entities in various nations, as well as in issues like organizational setting, transfer pricing, and the implementation of new projects or programmes for the group, as a member of the global tax team.
- Work together with business finance, legal, Treasury, accounting, and other departments to coordinate, carry out, protect, and finance various initiatives that will ultimately maximise the amount of money the company has available to spend.
- Serving as a contact point or expert for local tax issues for all business partners, including marketing fulfilment teams and others.
- Capable of working with and leading tax projects with Corporate and Regional Tax.
