We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Executive role in a Wholesale company based in Tokyo. It is a rapidly expanding importer, wholesaler, and distributor of Japanese food, supplying the food industry and retail chains in the UK and Europe with frozen food, drinks, and kitchen products. The sales executive's primary responsibility is to market and sell WHF products and services to customers while adhering to legal requirements and recognised standards of food safety quality and management with a primary focus on sales to individual restaurants.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working in sales or customer support.
- Knowledge of the wholesale trade is advantageous.
- Understanding Japanese, Asian, and ethnic cuisine are advantageous.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Pegasus Opera 3, and advanced computer skills for data entry and communication (training to be provided as needed).
- Customer-focused and dynamic.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of quickly responding to operational demands.
- Language skills in Chinese are advantageous.
- Willing to travel (preferred).
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Sell and market WHF goods and services to clients in accordance with predetermined sales targets.
- Achieving long-term relationships based on effective communication, trust, and integrity will increase sales to current customers.
- Increase revenue by attracting new customers and promoting WHF products.
- Maintenance of accounts regularly to guarantee client satisfaction.
- Make and maintain lists of discounted goods and prices for customers.
- Enter customer orders accurately and on time.
- Handle customer inquiries and, as needed, collaborate with internal departments (Accounts, Logistics, Warehouse, Technical, etc).
- To ensure that the needs of the customer are met, communicate openly with other departments.
- Collaborate closely with Logistics to ensure on-time delivery and a high level of customer service.
- Manage customer returns, grievances, and other claims, and collaborate with the required department(s) to find solutions.
- Collaborate with Accounts to resolve customer credit limit or payment issues.
- To ensure customer satisfaction, exhibit knowledge, understanding, and enthusiasm for WHF's operations and goods.
- Adhere to strict customer SLAs and uphold a high standard of administration in all areas.
- Maintain compliance with applicable legislation, as well as company standards and procedures.
- Carry out any additional appropriate management requests as required.
