We have an exciting opportunity for a Post Completion Clerk role with a Law Firm in London. The business is a well-known London law firm with a significant global presence, offering a comprehensive range of skilled legal services to commercial and private customers through specialised departments. It is looking for a conscientious, self-driven, quick learner with experience as an Immigration Paralegal who has Chinese fluency. Although immigration will be the prime task, depending on experience, there is also the opportunity to participate in other areas.
Job Requirements:
- Degree-level education.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a similar position.
- A thorough understanding of UK immigration regulations.
- Necessary background in UK business immigration.
- An experienced immigration paralegal, preferably (but not necessarily) with expertise in another field of law, such as real estate, litigation, or corporate and commercial law.
- English and Chinese fluency.
- Outstanding written and oral communication abilities.
- Strong research abilities.
- Detail-oriented perception is crucial.
- Capable of getting started quickly on a diverse array of immigration matters.
- Technical expertise corresponding to the experience level and a proactive risk management strategy is required.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Gathering information and discussing clients' immigration options during meetings.
- Providing clients with information on the necessary documents for their case.
- Liaison with authorities.
- Investigating and analysing caseworker guidance from the Home Office and Immigration Laws.
- Following new immigration policy developments.
- Preparation and submission of applications, appeals, judicial reviews, and so on.
- Giving instructions and communicating with Barristers.
- Assuring that clients understand the details of their case and are kept informed of any developments.
