We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager role in a UK-based Wellness and Fitness Services company. The business offers remedies for human nutrition, cosmetics, food, drugs, and animal nutrition. The firm has developed into a multi-national corporation that offers a vast array of useful items. The company is seeking to hire an experienced and driven individual to assist in its business growth.
 

Job Requirements:

  • Overseas experience and a university degree are desirable.
  • 2 years or more of job experience in a related discipline, such as food science or dietary supplements.
  • Can offer excellent customer service, a positive attitude at work, and a love for sales.
  • Positive and outgoing demeanour, good team player, dynamic, and self-motivated.
  • Outstanding communicator
  • A strong command of Mandarin is a plus.
  • Understands the fundamentals of important scientific learning (Food Science, Packaging, Sensory, Nutrition, Regulatory, Quality).

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prior to approaching customers, be knowledgeable about the company's products and its segmented function structure.
  • Create and carry out a sales plan that takes use of the company's competitive advantage in the UK market (items and supply chain).
  • Diligently pursue the development of new potential clients.
  • Maintain reasonable profit margins while adhering to business policy.
  • For all active accounts, make routine sales calls or visits to maintain and grow your business relationships.
  • Have a thorough awareness of/observation of the specific business segmentation and demands of the targeted consumers.
  • Keep a constant eye on your local newspaper, magazine, the internet, and other social media platforms to stay on top of market trends.
  • Conduct a weekly analysis of the pricing and promotion strategies used by competitors, and report the results to senior management for strategic planning.
  • Gather the promotional tactics and catalogues of competitors for internal use.
  • Negotiating contract payment conditions prudently and rigorously adhering to business policy till approved by the management level
  • In charge of collecting unpaid invoices for the allocated accounts and notifying management when they are due.
  • Aim for an average collection rate of 90% and abide by finance policy when adjusting account credit to prevent bad debt.
  • Monitoring the completion of the sales contract, the delivery note, and the commercial invoices for the relevant accounts.
  • Compile a report on sales calls and statistics to inform top management of the status of the project.
  • Ensure that the business contracts for the relevant accounts are completed, as well as the present accounts' renewal.
  • BD, sales, and receivables report every week with the BU head and COO.
  • New Client Development Report every month.
