We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Analyst role with a wholesale company. Our client has a broad range of authentic food products which they import from many places across the world.
Attributes and Experience
- Fluency in Mandarin/ Chinese and English is required.
- Completely familiar with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- You will be able to implement and manage critical routes, as well as collaborate with suppliers and consumers while acknowledging the distribution pressures in today's supply market.
- Capable of working on one's own initiative without supervision.
- Approach to teamwork that is both positive and constructive.
- Excellent management and preparation capacity.
- Able to work calmly and with attention to detail under pressure.
- Capable of maintaining a high degree of confidentiality in all aspects of work.
- Quick Learner. Grasp concepts and have good follow-through skills; adhere to work schedules and are capable of overcoming challenges as they arise.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Prepare purchase orders for approval by management and submission to suppliers. Ensure that customer order specifications are conveyed to suppliers correctly. All customer-related forms and applications must be reviewed and completed.
- Implementing and maintaining the vital route, ensuring that all shipments arrive on time.
- Maintaining good relationships with manufacturers, consumers, freight forwarders, and carriers.
- Ensure that import shipments, mainly from Asia, are scheduled on time from the supplier and booked with freight forwarders with all required paperwork and costs negotiated with forwarders.
- Manage all import and export shipments via email, phone, and cloud-based systems, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Ensure that paperwork for export shipments is planned on time and reliably for Air and Sea Freight movements to our warehousing and customer locations.
- Validate Supplier Invoices and coordinate all cloud-based and paper-based record-keeping of all procurement transactions from beginning to end.
- Keep central registers with product descriptions, costs, barcodes, HS codes, and duty rates up to date and accurate. Compiling inventory and stock lists for all products.
- Both shipments and invoices must be analysed, reconciled, problem-solved, and progress tracked on a regular basis.
