We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager role in an export company based in Amersham. It is a prominent European and North American meat and poultry exporter, with a particular concentration in the Philippines, Korea, Thailand, and the Middle East (Saudi, Egypt, UAE). They are seeking a dedicated, diligent individual with contacts and expertise in international food/commodity trading who can bring business with them and quickly join the company.
Job Requirements:
- You must demonstrate experience in sales/procurement/trading in one (or more) of the above countries.
- Proven track record of achieving sales objectives and delivering growth in a comparable industry/role.
- Effective negotiator and influencer.
- Someone with worldwide food/commodity trade contacts and expertise is desired.
- Creative, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented.
- Excellent client service and communication abilities.
- Capability to find and target new clients in novel ways.
- Strong business and financial aptitude.
- Organized, capable of multitasking, and capable of managing workload and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and vocal English, as well as Mandarin.
- Expertise with PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
- Significant experience in a comparable capacity.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and approve an annual sales strategy/budget for appropriate clients in the retail sector with the General Manager.
• Manage and supervise all sales operations involving relevant consumers in the convenience stores/symbol group sector.
• Serve as the principal point of contact between the firm and its consumers.
• Monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasting is your responsibility.
• Analyze and enhance performance by utilising data from customers, consumers, markets, and categories.
• Seek new client possibilities in the convenience retail and symbol group industries on a regular basis.
• Customers may be helped by offering clear sales, marketing, and promotional plans.
• Promote new items; agree on/negotiate sales pricing and product lines.
• Attend conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company.
