We have an exciting opportunity for Financial Reporting Accountant role in an Insurance company. The insurance group has operations in China, Asia, America, and Europe, and has received international recognition through ratings from reputable international rating agencies over the years. The financial accountant will be in charge of overseeing the implementation of effective controls and procedures throughout the finance activities. creating best practices, streamlining processes, and incorporating robust controls.
Job Requirements:
- The required qualifications for this position are preferably 5+ years of experience and prior employment in the insurance sector.
- A bachelor's degree in finance or a related discipline, or both.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CA designation in accounting, or an equivalent.
- Having knowledge of managing financial planning tasks, such as annual budgets and forecasts, as well as business model ownership.
- Strong aptitudes for mathematics and analysis.
- The capacity to work independently with little oversight.
- Possess knowledge of the financial systems' control environments and the capacity to resolve weaknesses.
- Willing to put in extra effort to complete assignments by their due date.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a decent command of Mandarin are all pluses.
- Outstanding proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- To assist the Financial Department with responsibilities related to finance operations in order to achieve efficient and effective results.
- Take the initiative to carry out system migration and improvement projects.
- Be responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounts, including financial reporting for the parent company, analytical analysis, and opinion.
- Payables and receivables reconciliation on the intercompany balance sheet, settling balances and clearing receipts and payments.
- Engage in the annual audit planning process and deal with auditor inquiries.
- Collaborate in the forecasting, planning, and cash flow of the annual budget.
- Take part in the management of cash and liquid assets.
- Prepare and perform Corporation Tax and other tax-related tasks as needed.
- Producing quarterly Solvency II QRT reports and other required regulatory reports.
- oversee the creation and archiving of suitable procedures and policies.
- Maintain recordkeeping and filing according to departmental policies and industry standards.
- Deliver ad hoc reports as needed by management.
