We have an exciting opportunity for an Event Organiser role in a Civic and Social Organization headquartered in the West to assist and motivate scholars in East Asian economies as well as economists of Chinese descent. Individuals who are articulate in Chinese and English are sought for this role.
Job Requirements:
- Capable of writing properly in both Chinese and English and communicating fluently over the phone.
- Outstanding time management and the ability to deliver quickly and within a deadline.
- Responsible, able to work well with various stakeholders, and capable of making decisions.
- Academic training in a social science field is preferred (Economics is preferable), as is a strong interest in Economics (though not essential).
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Support event planning and execution for management.
- From conception to conclusion, plan and arrange the event in accordance with the preferences.
- Make a budget that works for the situation and stick to it.
- Choose the ideal site or venue, reserve it, then set it up for the event.
- Tasks such as, but are not limited to, contacting venue suppliers, scholars, and senior leaders in fields connected to economics.
