We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Counsel role in an IT Services and IT Consulting
company. It is a global leader in IoT solutions, with a focus on smart home technology, industrial automation, and automotive electronics. It is looking to recruit a Chinese speaker who will play a key role in the firm by creating and evaluating legal papers relevant to the company's activities, offering legal counsel, and ensuring that the company follows all applicable laws and norms.

Job Requirements:

A bachelor's or master's degree in law is required.
2 years of Legal Counsel experience is desired.
Relevant legal expertise in a business setting is preferable, as is experienced with a recognised law firm.
Excellent knowledge and grasp of business and commercial law in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Good understanding of data protection legislation.
It is desirable if you have a good understanding of labour law and processes.
Professional integrity and ethics.
Flexible and commercially minded, having a thorough understanding of the impact external factors may have on the company.
Both vocal and written communication abilities are essential.
Ability to make autonomous and competent decisions in a business or commercial setting.
Demonstrated the capacity to develop legal defence or prevention methods.
Traveling to meetings, trials, depositions, and other legal processes is required.
Fluency in both English and Chinese.
Able to reliably commute regularly or prepare to relocate to the job site (required).

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

From writing through bargaining and finalisation, handle a variety of commercial papers connected to the company's sales, purchases, and other operations (not limited to statements, contracts, agreements, etc.)
Assuring that the papers are clear and enforceable and that they are in the best interests of the firm.
Assist in the development of new management processes and policies, as well as the optimization of existing ones.
In charge of resolving labour, contractual, and other legal concerns.
Assist with legal matters.
Provides legal advice, does legal research, writes legal reports, and ensures the legal operation of the company's operations runs smoothly.
Provide legal education on local ordinances and regulations.
Inform the company of any changes in legislation that may have an impact.
Establish or maintain positive connections with various regulatory or government bodies.
Work with multiple departments to create and harmonise the compliance procedure in order to reduce legal risks.
