We have an exciting opportunity for a Chinese Speaking Buyer role in a Wholesale company based in Newport. The company is a producer and distributor of various product lines geared particularly for Chinese food manufacturers in the UK. To join the team, the company is looking for a highly motivated and experienced buyer with prior experience working in a fast-paced, logistical environment in the food industry.
Job Requirements:
- The ability to communicate in Cantonese or Mandarin is extremely desired for working with customers and suppliers.
- Minimum1 year of experience in a similar capacity is required.
- Motivated and well-organized.
- Thrives in a hectic, fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Enjoys working with people.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- IT expert with MS Office capabilities.
- UK driver's licence (preferred).
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- From start to finish, handle purchase orders.
- Forecasting based on historical sales numbers and collaborating with the sales team to identify future market demands.
- Market research and new product development.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's product portfolio.
- Upon request, run reports and provide data to Directors.
- Regularly, communicate with internal accounting, warehousing, transportation, and sales departments, as well as suppliers and customers.
